Welcome Message

The first Asian Computational Fluid Dynamics Conference (ACFD) was held in Hong Kong, in 1996 with the intention of encouraging scientific and technical cooperation in CFD field among Asian countries.

The conference has been held every two years not only to activate the scientific & technical communication but also to promote the friendship of members since then.
The conferences of the series were held next in Japan (1998), India (2000), China (2002), Korea (2004), Taiwan (2006), India (2008), Hong Kong (2010), China (2012), Korea(2014), China(2016) and Taiwan(2018). After experiencing the difficult situation of COVID-19, the 13th ACFD was postponed for two years and finally will be held from October 16th to 19th, 2022 at Jeju Shinhwa World, in Jeju, Korea. ACFD2022 will be held in a hybrid format, mostly in-person but partially online.

This conference aims to provide an international forum for presentation, exchange of ideas and creation of knowledge in recent advances on various aspects of theories, analyses, and applications of computational methods in theoretical and engineering fluids and thermal science. The program includes keynote lectures and invited talks by distinguished experts from across the globe. There will be a few plenary sessions and a large number of parallel technical sessions spread over the conference periods.

It will bring together researchers and practitioners from academia, research institutions and industry to exchange experiences, disseminate up-to-date information, and explore new opportunities in the field; in particular, it will expose young or new researchers to the state of the art in CFD field.
